Even though the Indiana Jones franchise is a Lucasfilm production, it’s not a Star Wars film, which is why it’s on this list. It was long believed that Indiana Jones 5 would happen at some point after Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, and that belief came true when the studio announced in 2016 plans to produce another Indiana Jones movie. Unfortunately, it’s been delayed multiple times since then – first from 2019 to 2020, and then again to 2021. Indiana Jones 5, which sees James Mangold writing and directing and Harrison Ford returning in the title role.

Welcome back to Film Dose, today on the channel we are going to talk about Antonio Banderas Revealing New Details About His ‘Indiana Jones 5’ Character + First look at Indiana Jones 5 full cast revealed. Although Antonio Banderas is honored to join Indiana Jones 5 and be part of the beloved franchise, he won’t have much screen time in the upcoming movie it seems. During an exclusive interview with Collider’s own Steve Weintraub for Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Banderas revealed new details about his mysterious character, telling us that he only has a couple of scenes in the upcoming sequel. Taking place in 1969, Indiana Jones 5 brings Harrison Ford back as the legendary archeological explorer, Indy, in what is set to be his final theatrical adventure. Since Disney+ is already developing an Indiana Jones series, it’s possible the movie will pass the treasure-hunting torch to a new generation, and with Phoebe Waller-Bridge set to play Indy’s goddaughter, Helena, it seems like Indiana Jones 5 could see Ford passing on the fedora.

As if that did not give reason enough to be excited about the sequel, Indiana Jones 5 also features an all-star cast including Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, John Rhys-Davies, and, of course, Banderas.
